Visiting Hacienda Luisita, the largest piece of prime agricultural land in Tarlac City, Philippines.
It started out with our love and pride for our country and culture. We believe that we can achieve bigger things through working hand-in-hand with partner individuals, local organizations and businesses. Using local produce to not only use quality ingredients but to support and extend our help to local farmers all over the Philippines. The farmers are already the poorest of the poor in the country, we are not only committed to produce quality products but to also help and support farmers so that they’re sustained with enough resources for their own.
We donate about 10% of our sales every year to local farmers and even collaborate with various organizations to give the farmers proper resources for sustainability in their livelihood. We also partner with FOF (For Our Farmers) and establish scholarships and schools to help and assist young farmers and farmer’s children with their education. There is a declining number of youth enrolled in school, specifically those from the farming community.
With this, we also raise awareness to the youth on the importance of the agriculture sector in the country because we believe that awareness is a very important start for us to finally recognize the contribution to our country of our farmers. We rely a lot on foreign products and put a blind eye on our own. Supporting our own agricultural products will definitely help and support them and take pride in what we have.
